Manchester!!! What a lovely visit here... When the last show of the Loyle Carner HUGO tour scheduled here, I knew it would be super fun to tag along with Rich and make it an excuse to get out of London for a day and see the famous city. With the band taking the tour bus, I decided to book a hotel - The Reach @ Piccadilly, a new Marriott Bonvoy did not disappoint! Twenty four hours was the perfect amount of time to take it in. Fantastic record stores, restaurants, coffee shops and avant garde worker bee culture vibes! π I did not know about the worker bee being an emblem of the city to represent the industrious spirit of the Mancunians. You can definitely feel that energy walking around the vibrant central neighbourhoods. Innovation and Technology have been the forefront of this city for a very long time. Did you know that the very luxurious Rolls Royce vehicle company was founded in 1904? The worldβs debut passenger train; Locomotion No.1 also originates from Manchester. Its founder George Stephenson also built the first inter-city railway line to use locomotives between Liverpool and Manchester in 1830. I love being around such rich history. Stories that live in the old walls and beautiful architecture. It just hits different. :) If you are in the UK and have never been, I highly recommend!! xx
