Whilst staying in the Var region of Provence, Guillaume and I decided to head down to Saint Tropez one evening for the sunset. Neither one of us had visited the infamous hot spot so touted by celebrities and who's who of the world, so we thought it would be fun to check it out. "We'll just go to go" is what we said, thinking it would be completely an over the top, look at me kind of place, but we were actually pleasantly surprised with the old town and its multi-billion dollar harbour. A little glamour is never a bad thing, right? Having decided to forgo dinner we opted instead to just have a leisurely evening walk in and amongst the streets, whilst capturing the sunset on the pier. A fabulous spot for shopping and people watching, Saint Tropez definitely has its charm.

I love Vancouver. As a kid it was always one of those places I thought I would experience living in. The high-rise condos just seemed so cool and Robson was the hippest place to stroll with all its restaurants, boutiques, and hordes of people. Fast-forward a few years I started to think that Vancouver wasn't as great anymore, perhaps due to the never-ending rain and cloudiness I experienced on each visit. I loved it and now I want to move there yet again.
First stop was Thierry Patisserie. Highly recommended by a British chef friend of ours, I was eager to step inside and have a croissant experience à la française...

Only 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta's airport, San Pancho (also referred to as San Francisco) seems miles away from the nightlife of PV. There is no bus line that goes directly into town, which made it all the better. San Pancho has a small population, yet it's culture is relatively diverse. We encountered a number of ex-patriots from Canada and the U.S, even Europe and parts of South America. However, the town still remained true to Mexico, with 'loud-speaker' fruit trucks being driven through the streets, roosters milling about, and family run taco stands on every corner. I was so glad that we had decided to stay three more nights and enjoy the beach-filled bliss of the Mexican Riviera.

Bienvenidos a Bucerias Mexico! This was an impromptu trip, but definitely a memorable one. Bucerias is a wonderful little town just 20 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. With its constant sunshine, delicious food, and kind people, the all-exclusive resorts seemed miles away.
