Off the beaten path in the city of Puerto Vallarta is a restaurant called
La Esquina de los Caprichos. If you are in PV and have the slightest interest in Basque cuisine, notably
pintxos, make sure you go here! The restaurant was recommended to us from friends of ours who are quite familiar with the area. If they hadn't of told us about it there would have been no way that we would have found this little gem only a 5 minute walk from the Plaza Armas, downtown Puerto Vallarta.

Only 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta's airport, San Pancho (also referred to as San Francisco) seems miles away from the nightlife of PV. There is no bus line that goes directly into town, which made it all the better. San Pancho has a small population, yet it's culture is relatively diverse. We encountered a number of ex-patriots from Canada and the U.S, even Europe and parts of South America. However, the town still remained true to Mexico, with 'loud-speaker' fruit trucks being driven through the streets, roosters milling about, and family run taco stands on every corner. I was so glad that we had decided to stay three more nights and enjoy the beach-filled bliss of the Mexican Riviera.

I've been to London twice now, but I still have not been able to experience the city like I would like. The visits are always too short and I never seem to bring enough money. The first time I went I could not believe that people were actually drinking in the streets. What?!? Can you tell how Canadian I am? It makes for such a social culture, one that is so prominent in Europe and definitely missing in parts of North America. Perhaps if London experienced -40 degree celsius temperatures like we do here in Canada they might be a little more inclined to hibernate. But that's not the case. London is bursting at the seams with creativity. There is so much to do, see, eat, and learn that I doubt even its city dwellers are able to keep up. With yet another good friend of mine having moved there temporarily a few weeks ago, I thought I'd post some of the highlights from my last visit this June.
